TODD MCLANE, DVM
Dr. McLane is our veterinarian here at Skyview Veterinary Hospital and has been since its inception in October of 2002.
He knew since his early teenage years that he wanted to be a veterinarian because it was the perfect combination of his interest in science and his love of animals so Dr. McLane pursued his education with a passion.
He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1996 with a degree in animal science followed by 4 years at the University of Illinois from which he graduated as a veterinarian in 2000.
Dr. McLane is married to his wife Caryn for 16 years. Together they raise 5 very responsible children. Andrew (14y), Mitchell(12y), Avery (9y), Callum (7y) and little Bronwyn (5y).
Dr. McLane and his family have lived in Billings for 10 years. His first position was a veterinarian with Moore Lane Veterinary Hospital (a sister clinic to Skyview). In 2002 his position and responsibilities increased dramatically by becoming the only veterinarian at Skyview which had just been built.
In his time away from the clinic Dr. McLanes first priority is to his wife and children. Beyond that, when time allows, he enjoys bird hunting with his Brittany Spaniels, Ella and Amber as well as fishing and just enjoying the variety of activities that Montana has provided for him and his family.
Dr. McLane invites you to come up and visit himself, his staff and his hospital. He is very proud of how far Skyview Veterinary Hospital has grown and has all intention to continue his veterinary care with the professionalism and passion he has provided so far.
VICKIE
Office Manager
Vickie is the newest member of our team at Skyview Hospital. She joined the practice in July of 2010 as office manager.
Born and raised in billings, Vickie has been married for 26 years to her husband D.J. and has two children from this union. Jason is 23 and Alecia is 20.
With a family motto “a house is not a home without dogs”, they have always had a furry, spoiled pooch in their family. Typically rescuing shelter dogs, they did have 10 years with their beloved Golden Retrievers, Mollie and Kasie. Now that they are no longer with the family they are back to the shelter rescuses. Jypsie was adopted in 2006 from county animal control and Rosie was most recently added in September of 2010 from YC Shelter.
Vickie is very happy with her position with the Skyview Hospital team, even though her job is a new endeavor for her. After many years in nursing, and stints in sales and catering, she has finally settled with a job that truly fulfills her.
She is very proud of the staff she manages at Skyview and is very fond of each one of them. As the months progress, the position gets a bit easier but even on days it is a challenge, she remains very proud to work for such an outstanding doctor and staff.
CHANA HEAPE
Receptionist
Chana is one of the first smiling faces you will see as you enter our hospital. Chana has been our receptionist since July 2008 and is very committed to her job and providing satisfaction to our clients.
She was born and raised on a farm in northeastern Montana and moved to Billings in 2007.
Chana is married to her husband Kevin, whom she met while in Minot ND. They have been married since 1997. Together they are raising their two daughters Dana and Taylor.
They also share their home with their 3 pets, Sandy, a lab/retriever mix, Kobe, a peek-a chon and Nugget the housecat. She relates that her two dogs have apparently decided to swap household duties as their 75 lb. retriever thinks of himself as a lap dog and Kobe, who weighs in at a whopping 17lbs has taken on the guard dog duties!
Chana is a terrific employee who somehow combines her duties as employee, mother and wife yet is committed to each task to the very best of her ability. She loves working here at Skyview because of the doctor and her co-workers who she says bring her lots of fun and laughter every day.
LISA NIVER
Receptionist
Lisa is the second receptionist at our clinic since 2009 and between the two girls at our front desk we have quite a dynamic duo.
Lisa proves herself to be available to cover any position in the clinic from vet tech to boarding to receptionist. Whatever position needs to be filled on a given day we can count on Lisa to be our “go to” girl.
Because she married a military man, Lisa has had the opportunity to live in a variety of places and was able to pursue her education in veterinary science through both the North American College in England as well as the University of Maryland.
Lisa has been married to her husband, Terry a retired lieutenant colonel with the Air Force, since 1986. They always knew they wanted to settle in Montana upon his retirement and so they have now for the past 3 years. Together they are raising their 3 children, two boys and one girl and their cat, Timothy.
Lisa loves her jobs here at Skyview because of the constant diversity and her commitment to do any job well. Lisa and Chana work extremely well together and keep the reception desk flowing and organized while providing only the finest care and helpfulness to our clients. She truly enjoys all her coworkers and is always available to help with whatever task needs to be done. She says she found her “dream job” here with us at Skyview Hospital.

Outside of work, Courtney enjoys traveling as much as she can and is an avid reader. She also enjoys all the seasons and outdoor activities that Montana has to offer.
Our clinic is happy to have Courtney join us and our clients will find she has a wealth of information to share and is a wonderful and caring advocate for all animals.
WENDY BARNARD
Kennel Attendant
Wendy was born in Malta and raised on a ranch north of Hinsdale, Mt.
She moved to Billings in 2008 to attend MSU-B.
Wendy has a full schedule pursuing her degree in medical coding and insurance billing plus working and caring for her 4 year old Aussie-mix dog named Sadie.
When she does find some free time, she enjoys traveling and hanging out with her friends.
Making sure all the pets are comfortable and well attended to is a top priority for Wendy and her affection for animals truly shines thru.
BONNIE J. BOYER
Groomer
Our groomer, Bonnie is a native Minnesota girl. She grew up on a small farm north of St. Paul surrounded by lots of horses, dogs and cats. She spent many years raising and showing champion Shetland Sheepdogs and Belgian Tervuren and won many awards for both obedience and conformation during those years. Bonnie got involved with grooming dogs by a gentleman who told her he could teach her how to groom and she would have a "forever" job. Here she is over 25 years later still grooming and continually getting commendation for the beautiful job she does. In the rare event that Bonnie gets some free time, she enjoys riding and working with her 9 horses or hiking with her 3 dogs. Lacey (Belgian Tervuren), Skipper (Pomeranian) and Chance (her Sheltie) just add to Bonnie's already busy life. Bonnie travels to our hospital from her small ranch in the Bull Mountains and has been with us since February of 2008. If it is up to her very satisfied clients, Bonnie will be with us for a long time!
Sarah Bruce
Boarding Department
The newest member of our staff is Sarah Bruce. Sarah works full time in our boarding department. She is a native of northwest Oregon and is a graduate of Arrowhead Bible College in Fishtail. Sarah came highly recommended by her previous employer from Double Dog Ranch in Oregon and we couldn't be happier to have her. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, camping and photography. Her deep love of animals is evident by her caring attitude to our boarding pets.
