DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY:



Many tests including blood, urine and stool can be analyzed immediately in our high quality hospital based laboratory. This in-house lab allows results of testing to be obtained quickly and efficiently so that a diagnosis can be made and treatment can be initiated. There are situations where we also need to utilize the services of quality laboratories outside of our hospital for tests that are too extensive, expensive or difficult to be done at our in-house lab. Either way, you can be assured that the results of the testing will be obtained using the highest degree of precision and accuracy.

SURGICAL SUITE:

We are fully equipped with all the necessary monitoring devices for the surgical needs of our patients. Our surgical packs are autoclaved in our hospital to ensure the necessary sterility we demand. Our suite also has the appropriate monitoring devices needed for a properly equipped surgical suite. Such devices include an electrocardiograph unit, pulse oxymetry, laser scalpel if warranted or requested, skilled endotracheal intubation and oxygen monitoring. All this is available and strictly utilized and monitored to ensure the pet is doing well under anesthesia.

Our hospital has a firm policy that no patient will be subjected to any unnecessary pain before, during or after surgery. Our staff is determined to provide your pet, continuous, undisturbed observation so as to provide the highest degree of pain controlled recovery possible.

ON SITE RADIOLOGY:



Having on-site x-ray equipment allows our doctor to make a diagnosis more efficiently and saves our clients the need to travel else where to obtain xrays and makes it possible for us to begin a treatment plan as soon as the xrays are evaluated by our doctor.

ULTRASOUND:

Because ultrasound is a very specialized type of study, Skyview shares an ultrasound unit which is based at Shiloh Veterinary Hospital. We make the ability to get the ultrasound as convenient as possible for our clients and results are available immediately.

END OF LIFE DECISIONS:

We understand our clients must face what many describe as the most difficult decisions they have ever had to make. Euthanizing your beloved family member is never easy. We strive very hard to help you as best we are able during this emotionally painful process. We will provide you with compassion and understanding. Making sure you understand every step in the process of euthanization. Options are available depending on your personal needs. This may include in- hospital euthanizing with you present during the whole process. However sometimes our clients just cannot cope with the process and prefer to not be present and this is perfectly understandable and we will be accommodating and sensitive to your needs. We also have the option of euthanization at your home (for additional cost) if this is something you would like to do.

All clients have the option of taking their pet with them for burial or we will take care of having it cremated and call you when the remains are ready for pick up. A pawprint keepsake will be given to our clients to pay tribute to their beloved pet.
